The Human Side to Howard Stringer
Sony's Howard Stringer is back on the D stage after a year break. He talks about the last couple of years -- movies, entertainment, mobile, TVs, camcorders, laptops, consumer electronics -- all of it. What I remember most about his last on-stage interview, was his sense of humor that matched perfectly with the D audience and his ability to tell stories. Great stories.
His theme today? Innovation and what that really means across categories.
Says Stringer: "Making Sony a home for entrepreneurs is our next big challenge. We've brought down barriers that have enabled Japanese and American engineers to work well together. We're doing that with the Playstation network and are beginning to see signs of life, but its a tough challenge because we're so big."
