eSnips Goes Live With Multi-Channel Radio
Client eSnips goes live with their new Multi-Channel Radio, which provides a powerful new way for musicians to be heard, share and promote their music online through numerous music portals, including Karaoke, Remix, Electronic, Metal, Industrial, Rap, Reggae, Jazz, Blues & more.
The channels now based on music genres but soon, eSnips radio will allow anyone to create their own radio station (i.e, Radio Michael) with their own music. Any radio listener will be able to choose “Radio Michael” along side Karaoke Radio, Jazz Radio and other eSnips communities across multiple genres and interests. Listeners to personal stations will be able to tune into music from independent musicians and subscribe to various channels as well as updates from selected personal stations.
eSnips already has more than a dozen user-generated online music communities, as well as new Music Widgets, Players and Playlists that allow users to upload their own music, distribute and promote it on other sites.
eSnips Radio Multi-Channels are driven by the communities. When users choose a channel to play from within a genre, they can listen to a changing selection of songs from inside any of these communities.
Songs that are shuffled and played randomly, are among the top 40 most popular songs within the music community for that particular week. Users can skip a song if they choose to, repeat, vote or rate a song based on whether they liked it or hated it.
Social features are always shown for a particular song so people can see how many people have ‘favorited’ it and who, as well as how many times it has been played. After choosing a channel, users can choose how songs are selected: by popular, most favorited, latest additions and so on. They can also choose how to play the songs, i.e., shuffled or by rank/upload time.
Similar to the Pandora model, users can refine the kind of radio station they listen to. Unique to eSnips is the ability for users to sample music from independent musicians inside a community they also participate in for other things outside music. eSnips ‘one place’ for social sharing model continues to support the notion that busy adults do not have the time or inclination to join several social sharing sites for different interests or file types. eSnips allows users to participate, share, distribute and promote all of their passions from one centralized location.
As niche communities continue to grow, more and more unique affinity groups with a myriad of diverse interests are rising to the surface. eSnips steady growth demonstrates a need for a social sharing environment that leverages “specialty and niche,” as well as people’s interests and passion.
