On Changing Art
Art has been an obsession lately - wanting to swap out what I have with something new. New colors, new energy, new design.
I went to three out of four of San Francisco's Open Art Studios in September. Loved every exhibition, every aspect of it - wish there were more. And then oddly in the middle of all of it all, I re-watched Six Degrees of Separation; Kadinsky is quoted early on. Not one of his most famous quotes, but a great one around the wild side versus his somber and geometric 'other side.' (on one canvas). Corresponding vibration.
"Colour is the key. The eye is the hammer. The soul is the piano with its many chords. The artist is the hand that, by touching this or that key, sets the soul vibrating automatically." So beautiful. To be obsessed with art at any stage of life is not a bad thing.
