No Wifi for San Francisco
I don't get it. I can get wifi in the Las Vegas Airport, in other remote hot spots around the country, free and fast wifi in a hotel in old established Washington DC and in Silicon Valley, where technology money and power prevail and we have an opportunity to lead by example, we decide instead to take a step backward.
Thomas Hawk writes about Mayor Gavin Newsom's free wi-fi initiative in San Francisco, which was supposed to arrive by the end of this year, is now considerably derailed. Did I say, I don't get it? There are a lot of things that don't make sense in San Francisco frankly. More on that later.
The things that do make sense - ahhh yes, its beauty. Speaking of Thomas Hawk, check out his magnificant photo of the bridge. Breathtaking.

haha! your indeed right there Renee.
Was just there the other day for a meeting, and tried to log on afterwards - and was stunning to see there is no wireless anymore. Talk about embarrassing. There’s really no excuse for lack of Wireless in SFO. Have to chalk it up to good ole capitalism (no doubt T-Mobile and the wireless guys want you to pay).
Amazing how advanced the US is on the web side, but when it comes to teleco’s, wireless and connectivity, it’s a huge laggard…
Hope all is well
