Brazilian World Music at Ryles
Medici Musica presents Brazilian World Jazz Series at Ryles in Cambridge MA on Saturday.
Brazilian-American, Anita Coelho whose roots combine both Belém do Pará, Brazil and New England, brings her vocal talent to Ryles backed by a dynamic quintet to perform lesser-known Bossa Nova tunes by the likes of Toninhno Horta, Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, Joyce and Milton Nascimento among others.
I used to love going to brunches there........and seeing my friend Mark Kross and his band play.
I'm still in a bi-coastal frame of mine I guess. Will be for awhile.
