The Misuse of History
Long Now is having an interesting event tonight in San Francisco on the misuse of history. Almost worse than ignorance of history is the misuse of history, which is the norm. What if the norm became intelligent application of historical knowledge?...
Tonight's event will explore "Five Ways to Use History Well" at the Frank Gavin, Cowell Theater: Fort Mason Center. A Live Audio Stream of the Seminar will be made available to Long Now Members starting at 7 pm Pacific time tonight.
Upcoming SALT talks include:
Jesse Schell, "Visions of the Gamepocalypse" on July 27
Martin Rees, "Life's Future in the Cosmos" on August 2
