Entrepreneur Trek
This weekend, there's a Stanford event called Entrepreneur Trek at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Over the course of two days, serial entrepreneurs across a number of different industries and specialties will share their thoughts with attendees. Topics will range from "secrets of their success," the art of the pitch largely to VCs not other influencers, and understanding the secret sauce that led to other start-up's successes. There will also be a series of breakout sessions:
-Peter Pham, CEO, BillShrink (raised $8m in October 2008)
-Murli Thirumale, CEO, Ocarina Networks (raised $20m in February 2009)
-Sumon Sadhu, CEO, Snaptalent (funded by the Y Combinator)
-John Simmer, CEO, Zimride (funded by Facebook fbFund)
-Simon Tisminezky, CEO, SpeedDate (raised $6m in August 2008)
-Steen Anderson, Co-Founder, 5th Finger (raised $7m in June 2008)
-Phil Libin, CEO, Evernote (raised $4.5 m in December 2008)
Also on the schedule is clean tech, social media, online marketing strategies and crowd sourcing.
