Paying Respect to Emru Townsend
Paying respects today to Emru Townsend who died last night after a year long fight with leukemia. What a man. I have known him for years but only had a chance to really spend quality time with him at a CES a few years back, when we painted the town red together with Dan Tynan, both of whom have been contributing to PC World for years.
PC World's memoriam and Dan Tynan's blog post here . Writes Dan, "he was part of PC World’s extended family of misfits and misanthropes, otherwise known as the magazine’s freelance contributors." So many of us are misfits and misanthropes in this business, one of the things I love about it. Apparently I took the below photo says Dan :-). It must have been one of those fun-filled evenings in Vegas a few years ago.
Emru, we will all miss you very very much. You were loved, respected and today, we honor you.
