My friend;
The quote you have under Emerson is my translation of words that my Hindi teacher told us when I was in Grade 8 (in 1960s). That was his parting advise to us, I translated that for my American Born Son in early 90s, he even had that in his speech in 6th grade.
I have also included those words in my articles, memos for many years.
I don't have problem with you publishing quote ("Things that are given away are never lost") But I believe it is not Emerson's quote (I beleive my teacher was translating from Hindi Poem)
Neverthless it is a good thought to share.
