CCCYO HIV/Aids Benefit
There are a number of San Francisco HIV/AIDS programs and charity events throughout the year, however what I didn't know was that the Catholic Charities CYO have one of the largest housing and support facilities for people with the disease. Last night's Red House Party was one such event they host in the city to raise both awareness and money.
I talked to a number of board members, trustees and organizers. Apparently 25% of the HIV/AIDS population in San Francisco has received direct assistance from CCCYO, which has provided over 200,000 nights of housing for women, children, LGBT and other individuals living with HIV/AIDS in the past year alone.
A shot of a couple of the organizers at last night's benefit, held at San Francisco's Catch on Market Street in the Castro. You can give a donation here.
