The IM Generation
Ben Bajarin of Creative Strategies moderated a panel last week in Los Angeles on the IM Generation.
What does the IM generation say and think about? Based on a short video that Ben put together, the main source of media for them is referrals from their friends and family. The same applies to movies and music, and it seems like their main online music source is iTunes over the others, recommendations they continue to get from their peers.
Responses to a few more relevant questions:
The most important technology in your life?
Cell phone and iPod. Gadgets that make my life easier. Laptop (mac) is second.
What did they do more of? IM or texting?
Texting.
What do they spend most of their money on?
Clothes and gas.
