Playing with Images

It's so hard not to get caught up in Photoshop "playtime." Naturally, I'm interested in whats possible on and offline before I buy my new digital SLR and what effects you can create 'after the fact.' Since I still haven't decided on the model yet, more on the SLR after its in my hands.
