Yes on 87
Clinton was in town (SF) this week as part of the Yes on 87 campaign. Yes on 87 for cleaner air and less dependency on foreign oil. California has the nation’s worst air quality, the nation’s highest gas prices; and we’re forced to import oil from unstable nations. Proposition 87 reduces our dependence on oil with domestic energy sources like biofuels, wind and solar.
A few stats from their site: by the age of two months, Los Angeles-area infants have already inhaled enough toxic pollutants to reach the EPA lifetime limit for cancer risk. 95% of Californians live in areas that fail to meet state and federal air quality standards. Oil companies have a stranglehold on our energy market.
We have one choice: oil based fuels like gas and diesel. Proposition 87 will bring Californians choices like biofuels, electric, wind and solar to reduce our oil dependence, our energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions. Those who endorse Prop 87 here. (its a long list)
