Large Agency, Small Agency
I had dinner with Renee Edelman following Steven Levy's book launch last week. I've known her for years - there are not many Renees, so its not surprising that people continue to mix us up occasion after occasion. Albeit a small dinner, there were a couple of editor and industry folks present, so we didn't get the quality time I had hoped for...yet every time we see each other, there's always this feeling when we introduce ourselves, i.e., ME - "she does for the big boys what I do for the small boys."
So true and yet, so many of the same basics apply. There was that conversation too. I was reminded how often the same basic rules apply, regardless of your industry, regardless of timing, regardless of whether you're a big boy or a small one.
