Blue Angel Thunder
I was on a noon conference call with several people today, when I started to feel my house and windows shake. Having lived in Yuma Arizona in the early eighties at a time when we attended frequent air shows at the Marine Corps Air Station, I found myself thinking - hell, I really hope this loud roar is nothing more than the remarkable Blue Angels. Having seen them a number of times, I recognized their familiar sounding thunder.
A few minutes later, I read the Mercury News article announcing the arrival of The Blue Angels at SFO mid-day today for the Fleet Week air show this weekend. No need for a news article to know when they're in your neighborhood....
The team will take practice flights on Thursday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the Fleet Week Air Show will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. over the San Francisco waterfront.
