China's New Culture of Cool
Cheskin is releasing a new book this month: China's New Culture of Cool. At their launch party, they will be honoring authors LiAnne Yu, Cynthia Chan and Christopher Ireland.
A look at the emerging, affluent and influential middle class of China, they discuss China’s 1.3 billion citizens—particularly the 640 million who are under age 30—who are becoming a world force. Its culture, deeply rooted in native traditions, its contemporary marketplace is eclectic, combining regional styles with elements borrowed from foreign cultures. It is evolving at a remarkable pace.
Focusing on four fundamental aspects of the consumer Chinese lifestyle— style, food, living, and mobility— they provide an insightful view of everyday life in urban China and the current culture of “cool.”

Can't wait for that book. I have plans to take a vacation in China actually. So this book would really mean so much. It could at least keep me informed about China.
