Under the Radar: Web 2.0
There's that phrase again: Web 2.0. IBD Network's March event focused on Web 2.0 companies - meaning that a handful of companies 'under the radar' had an opportunity to present to an influential audience of dealmakers, press, bloggers, VCs and technology executives at Microsoft's Mountain View local in the Bay Area.
Yael Elish, CEO of Israeli-based eSnips (formally known as NetSnippets)
Pal Halley Suitt was in town from Boston, who talked about her new gig: Top Ten Sources
Ross Levinsohn, President, Fox Interactive Media during his fireside chat (more in the next blog post on this)
Attendees and panelists were asked to vote on companies that presented. Category winners were:
Community 2.0 - Dogster (YAY Ted - one of the few newer Web 2.0 companies that is actually profitable, yes??)
Connect 2.0 - Box.Net
DIY News - Spy Media
Make It Easy - Dabble DB
Search 2.0 - Part 1 - Riya
Search 2.0 - Part 2 - Wink
Smooth Surfing - Flock
When 2.0 - Skobee
