BarCamp in LA This Weekend
BarCamp is in progress this weekend in LA. It's very Silicon Valley and focused on the inner geek in all of us.
Touted as an un-conference (people love that phrase out here now), its all about participation rather than observing.
Attendees must give a demo, a session, or help with one. Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join. (oh yeah, and they ask you to bring a sleeping bag and pillow).
It reminds me a bit of O'Reilly's Digifoo camp although you didn't have to 'demo' to attend. All sorts of camps have been sprouting up, such as the well documented tag camp last fall.
