Revolutionary Science on Here & Now
NPR's Here and Now interviews futurist Ray Kurzweil about his new book: The Singularity is Near: When Humans Transcend Biology, due to hit the streets in September. Audio here for yesterday's show.
Says NPR: he's saying that in the near future blood cell sized robots called nanobots will travel our bloodstreams making repairs. He sees this as one part of a larger trend of achieving immortality through technology.
Disclosure: I'm doing some consulting for Kurzweil around the launch of his new book.
