Adopting Grandparents
Way to go Sharon Stone. Before reading this, I had actually been thinking about this concept for quite awhile - at least six months. Parentless and now grandparentless, I've been quietly searching for a grandfather I can adopt.
Why not? It's not about trying to replace my own, but re-capturing that amazing relationship you have with someone born four decades behind you. There's nothing quite like it.
Actress Sharon Stone adopted a baby in 2000 and is planning to do it again. In addition, she plans to informally adopt grandparents for herself and her son. She says, “We should be able to adopt adults into our lives as well as children.” I love the idea. As they point out on this adoption site: "It doesn’t matter who your child belongs to; what matters is who belongs to your child."
