Associated Press' Blog or Not

Corante does a piece that explores the Associated Press' blog or no blog debate.

Their take: "So Bad Language isn't, in fact, a blog at all. It's another wire, written as if it was a blog and unavailable to the general public except through the sites of those purveyors of news who have the cash to pay up for it. Bad Language is a phantom, a pretence, a fake."

Why in the world does AP reporter Kim Gamel feature some bleeping Iraqi complaining about U.S. troops killing women and children? Why doesn't she feature the unending murder of civilians ("women and children") by the murderous bastards of the so called insurgency?

These are our men and women Ms. Gamel is maligning. What is with with her and her editor?

I loved the story on Ritchie Calvin Davis. "Police Charge Boy With Driving Stolen Bus" Excellent article. Someone needs to pick this kid up. Granted what he did was illegal. But it showed great imagination in what he was doing. Somewhere along the line this kid needs to get out of the system. I like his imagination and in showing this imagination I think he could be quite an assett for a corporation someday. So someone take the initiative and grab hold NOW. Not tomorrow and I don't mean the church. Keep him out of the church. This kid needs to stay free. Channel his abilities. Offer him opportunities and watch him grow. Give him guidelines/parameters and don't budge. The right ones that fit him. He's 15, grab him now.
